OpenAI has announced the launch of SearchGPT, an AI-powered search engine. Even as Google continues to dominate the search engine market, the tool aims to use AI tech’s conversational models to help users produce faster, more relevant search results. After placing a search query, users can ask follow up questions. Publishers will also have control over how their content/sites appear in search results. SEO standards and digital ads are expected to change as AI platforms like SearchGPT emerge. Take EverAds, the first advertising network for AI chatbots; now developers can integrate advertisements into chatbot conversations. Keep in mind, OpenAI, the makers of SearchGPT will be in direct competition with Perplexity, an AI search chatbot service backed by Amazon. SearchGPT is still being tested and is a prototype, available only to 10,000 users; but you can catch a preview here.
