A team of experts have made a major breakthrough: certain cancers can be detected 35 years before diagnosis. The breakthrough means that in the future, diagnosis could take place through a simple blood test, decades before symptoms are even present; thereby revolutionizing treatment options. The discovery was made through the Pan-Cancer Project, a global group of scientists dedicated to mapping common patterns of mutation in whole cancer genomes. Learn more here.
