This week, Google TV (GTV) announced that will start hosting in-stream advertising. When users watch their favorite shows via Google TV or Android TV OS, they will be subject to ‘unskippable’ or bumper ad campaigns. Known as the ‘Google TV Network’ the ad service will only be available in the U.S. Businesses can expand their market reach on the Google TV Network by opting to include YouTube. Every month, an estimated 20 million people actively use Google TV and Android TV OS; to reach over 125 channels. Worldwide, YouTube has over 2.70 billion monthly users.
