The British government has announced plans to create a new criminal offense; “Cyberflashing.”
Under the proposed legislation, anyone who sends unsolicited sexual images online can face up to two years in prison. Individuals who attempt to send unsolicited sexual content through dating apps, social media messaging, Bluetooth and Airdrop or uncompleted image previews can also be charged.
Cyberflashing will carry the same sentencing weight as indecent exposure.
