At this point, being able to track COVID-19 cases around the world without conflicting sources is a miracle. Thankfully, Johns Hopkins University’s Coronavirus Resource Center has managed to create a data lifeline through their COVID-19 interactive map dashboard. Everyone from public health advocates to mainstream news outlets are depending on the dashboard to review the status of cases and the spread of the pandemic. Using official sources provided by governments and organizations, their team tracks the spread of the COVID-19 virus across 166 countries and regions. This data visual above uses data (provided by Johns Hopkins) last updated on March 20th at 10:14pm. The university’s team provides numbers on active cases, those who’ve recovered, and deaths in real-time, on a daily basis. Certain countries (U.S. Canada, China, and Australia) are able to see the spread of the pandemic on a localized level. To learn more or to just check out the site, go get data here.
